The 2026 celebration brings a new home for Carnival Day, along with Junior Carnival, Pan Jamboree
South Florida — August 2026 — Miami Broward Carnival is returning in 2026 with an expanded schedule of events taking place across Broward County, bringing together Caribbean music, mas, steelpan, J’ouvert, food, culture and entertainment over two weekends.
The 2026 celebration officially begins on Saturday, October 3, with Junior Carnival and Pan Jamboree at the Tamarac Sports Complex. The event will showcase the next generation of Carnival participants, with more than eight children’s mas bands expected to take part, alongside more than four steelbands highlighting the rich tradition of Caribbean steelpan.
The Carnival excitement continues on Friday, October 9, with the Red Road Fete in the City of Tamarac. The event adds another major Caribbean celebration to the Miami Broward Carnival calendar and kicks off a busy Columbus Day Weekend.
On Saturday, October 10, the focus shifts to Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium for the Official J’ouvert. More than 20 J’ouvert bands are expected to participate in a high-energy celebration featuring paint, powder, music and dancing.
The weekend culminates on Sunday, October 11, with the Miami Broward Carnival Day Parade & Fete, also taking place at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium.
More than 16 masquerade bands are expected to hit the road, bringing elaborate costumes, music, color and Caribbean culture to the celebration. Following the parade, attendees can enjoy live Caribbean entertainment along with a Caribbean Food Village, arts and crafts, vendors and additional cultural experiences.
According to the Miami Broward One Carnival Host Committee, the expanded 2026 schedule is designed to showcase the diversity of Caribbean Carnival while creating more opportunities for residents and visitors to experience the culture throughout Broward County.
