Caribbean Chit was created to share the energy, culture and excitement of the Caribbean with audiences around the world. What started as a passion for documenting Carnival and J’ouvert has grown into a platform dedicated to showcasing the people, traditions, music and unforgettable experiences that define Caribbean life.
The story
It started because nobody was recording it properly
We travel to Carnival events, fetes and cultural celebrations throughout the United States and internationally, capturing authentic moments and bringing viewers closer to the action. Our content highlights everything from the vibrant costumes and music to the unique stories and personalities that make each event special.
Over the years, Caribbean Chit has become known for its extensive coverage of Miami Carnival, J’ouvert celebrations, fetes and other major Caribbean events. Our goal is to preserve these experiences while sharing them with a global audience that appreciates Caribbean culture and entertainment.
Life is better with music, sunshine, Carnival, and good vibes. We just make sure there is a record of it afterwards.

We go, every year
Not a one-off shoot. The same carnivals, the same bands, year after year — which is why the archive is worth something and a single trip is not.
Respect on the road
We shoot the culture, not a caricature of it. Almost everyone in frame is a masquerader taking part in a tradition, and we video them like it.
No hoops, plain terms
Simple subscription. Stream or buy the video. Licensing terms are plain English and turn around inside a day.

Nine years, one camera at a time
- 2017
One camera, one J’ouvert
Caribbean Chit begins as a personal documentation project at a local J’ouvert — no crew, no plan, just a refusal to let the morning go unrecorded.
- 2022
The road expands
Coverage grows to the major US diaspora carnivals — Miami, Atlanta, Brooklyn and Orlando — building relationships that still open doors today.
- 2023
Long-form becomes the format
While everyone else moves to 60-second clips, we go the other way and publish long-form parade videos. The audience triples.
- 2024
Into the islands
St. Thomas USVI joins the annual calendar, filmed with the same front-line access as home.
- 2025
A full archive, sold direct
Years of videos and over four thousand photographs, available to stream, download and license — direct from the people who shot them.
- 2026
North to Caribana
Orlando Carnival, then north to Toronto for Caribana. Next stop is Miami in October — that one is always a good vibe.
